I’ve already dragged this on too long so I’ll give you the short… After the restore, I was presented with the home screen. It looked exactly like it did when I pulled it out of the box. I went back to iTunes and read the fine print. The new apps are a free upgrade for iPhone, but iPod Touch users need to pay $20 for the applications.

I was so pissed off at Apple. How dare they charge me $20 for what should be a free upgrade. Especially because it’s really almost a downgrade for me. $20 is something I can definitely afford, but I didn’t want to buy the software on principle. I didn’t want to tell Apple that that was ok with me. I tried to restore back to 1.1.1 but received nothing but errors.

I finally broke down and bought the apps and will give my opinions tomorrow.

Goodnight
